Connect an OTA such as Booking.com to ClearHost
In ClearHost: Channel Manager → Channels.
Where: Channel Manager → Channels in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to view channels on this property.
#Steps
- 1
Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.
- 2
Open "Channel Manager → Channels". If that entry is missing from your sidebar, your role does not have channel access on this property and an owner or admin has to grant it.
- 3
ClearHost signs you in to the channel manager by itself when the page opens. If the panel stays empty, click Authenticate Channels at the top right to try again.
- 4
Everything below that button is the channel manager itself — an embedded product with its own screens and its own wording, so ClearHost cannot name its buttons for you. Work through its list of channels, pick the site you want, and sign in there with the account you already hold with that site.
- 5
If the screen says "Property Not Connected" instead, this property has never been set up on the channel-manager side and there is nothing to sign in to yet. Organization Not Connected means the whole organisation is unlinked, not just this property.
- 6
On either of those, "Reload Page" retries the connection and "Contact Support" at the bottom opens an email to ClearHost. Neither state is something you can clear from this screen yourself.
#Good to know
Connecting a channel is a two-sided job: ClearHost hands you an authenticated session, and the rest happens in the channel manager and on the OTA extranet. Give the channel a room type and a rate plan to sell before you connect it — an OTA with nothing mapped to it will take no bookings. Reservations that arrive once a channel is live show up under Channel Manager → Live Booking, not on this screen.
