Close a date to arrival

In ClearHost: Channel Manager → Inventory.

Where: Channel Manager → Inventory in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to edit inventory on this property.

#Steps

  1. 1

Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

  2. 2

    Open "Channel Manager → Inventory".

  3. 3

Click the room type name to expand it, then click the rate figure on the plan and date you want to close. The rate drawer opens.

  4. 4

Under "Restrictions", turn "No arrivals" on — the trade calls this closed to arrival. Guests already staying can stay through that date; they just cannot start a stay on it.

  5. 5

Turn "No departures" on as well if nobody should check out on that date either.

  6. 6

Use Dates if the closure should cover a run of nights, then click "Apply to", and finally "Save Changes" in the bar at the bottom.

  7. 7

Careful: the drawer applies every field it is showing to every night in the range, "Price a night" included. Check the price before applying over a range, or close the dates one night at a time.

#Good to know

Closed to Arrival is what the trade calls CTA. It is set per rate plan, so set it on each plan you sell that date on. It does not take the rooms off sale — use a stop sell for that.
