Set a minimum stay restriction
In ClearHost: Channel Manager → Inventory.
Where: Channel Manager → Inventory in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to edit inventory on this property.
#Steps
- 1
Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.
- 2
Open "Channel Manager → Inventory".
- 3
Click the room type name to expand it — each of its rate plans then shows a row of rates. Click the rate figure on the plan and date you want, and the rate drawer opens for that night.
- 4
Set "Min stay if arriving" to the number of nights a guest must book if they arrive on that date. Use Min stay through instead when any stay that merely covers the date has to run that long.
- 5
"Max stay" has to be at least as large as the minimums you set, otherwise the drawer refuses to apply. Leave it at No limit if there is no ceiling.
- 6
Use Dates if the rule should cover a run of nights rather than the one you clicked, then click "Apply to" — the button names how many nights it will write.
- 7
Careful: the drawer applies every field it is showing to every night in the range, "Price a night" included. Check the price reads what you expect before applying over a range, or set the minimum stay one night at a time.
- 8
Click "Save Changes" in the bar at the bottom to push the staged nights.
#Good to know
Minimum stay is held per rate plan, so repeat it on each plan you sell those dates on. A minimum stay does not block the date — guests who meet it can still book.
