Block dates with a stop sell

Where: Channel Manager → Inventory in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to edit inventory on this property.

#Steps

   Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

   Open "Channel Manager → Inventory".

   Open "View rules" in the toolbar and switch on "Stop sell" under "Restriction rows". All restrictions turns every rule row on at once, and On the board controls which of them show as rows under each rate plan.

   Click the room type name to expand it, then the rate plan name underneath to show its rule rows.

   Click the cell under the first date you want to block. The rate drawer opens — set the dates it covers, switch on Stop sell, and click Apply to.

   Careful: the drawer writes every field it is showing to every night in the range, "Price a night" included. Check the price reads what you expect before you apply, or do the block one night at a time.

#Good to know

Stop Sell stops new bookings for that date on that rate plan — bookings you already hold are untouched, and the rooms stay in your availability count. It is set per rate plan, so repeat it on every plan you sell those dates on. To take a physical room out of service for repairs, use Room Management instead.
