Where: Hotelbeds extranet
You need: the username and password Hotelbeds gave the property, and which contract to connect.

#On Hotelbeds

  1. 1

In the Hotelbeds extranet, choose Channex as the channel manager. If it isn't listed, open a support ticket with Hotelbeds asking them to connect Channex.

  2. 2

Check the contract with Hotelbeds. Each contract is connected separately. Ask Hotelbeds to extend the contract dates or remove allotments if needed.

#In ClearHost

  1. 3

Open Channel Manager β†’ Channels and click "Create". Choose Hotelbeds.

  2. 4

Enter the Hotelbeds username and password.

  3. 5

Click "Test Connection", then choose the right contract in the selector that appears.

  4. 6

Open the "Mapping" tab and map each Hotelbeds room to a ClearHost room and rate.

  5. 7

Under "Advanced Options", keep "Update Availability", "Update Rates" and "Update Restrictions" ticked, unless the contract doesn't allow one of them.

  6. 8

Save the channel, then activate it. A full sync of rates and availability goes out; check the channel's logs afterwards for errors.

#Common problems

  • "does not agree with the signed contract": the contract doesn't allow price updates. Untick Update Rates.
  • Errors for dates after the contract ends: ask Hotelbeds to extend the contract.
  • "Minimum allotment activated": Hotelbeds won't let you close dates until allotted rooms sell. Ask Hotelbeds to remove allotments (they can cause overbookings).
  • Errors on some rates (e.g. FIT): those rates shouldn't receive prices.
  • Missing price errors: make sure every date over the next two years has a price.
