Hostelworld

What it is: Hostels and budget stays; popular with backpackers.
Where: Hostelworld support (by email)
You need: the property ID Hostelworld sends when they enable the connection.

#On Hostelworld

1. 1

   Email Hostelworld support and ask them to connect the property to Channex.

2. 2

   Wait for their reply. They confirm the connection is enabled and send the property ID.

#In ClearHost

1. 3

   Open Channel Manager → Channels and click "Create". Choose Hostelworld.

   Choose the property and enter the Hostelworld "property ID".

   Click "Test connection". It should show success. If not, check the property ID.

   Map every room type and rate plan. Hostelworld prices each room at its maximum occupancy: send the 2-person price for a double, the 4-person price for a 4-bed room, and the 1-person (per bed) price for a dorm.

   Save the channel, then activate it.

#Common problems

• Single-occupancy price doesn't show: Hostelworld only takes the price for the room's maximum occupancy (per bed for dorms).
• Close to arrival / close to departure ignored: Hostelworld doesn't support these restrictions.
