Edit a rate plan

Where: Property → Rooms and Rates in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to edit rates on this property.

#Steps

   Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

   Open "Property → Rooms and Rates".

   Find the room type the plan belongs to — its rate plans are listed underneath it. View Rate Plans in the room type’s three-dot menu swaps the screen to just that room type’s plans if the page is crowded.

   Open the three-dot menu on the rate plan’s own row and choose "Edit Rate Plan".

   The drawer has three tabs. Details holds the name and the price, Additional Information holds Cancellation Policy, Meal Plans and Tax Sets, and Advanced Settings holds the stay limits and the day-of-week restrictions.

   "Rate Type" and "Parent Rate Plan" are greyed out here — a plan cannot be switched between standalone and derived after it has been created. If that is what you need, create a new rate plan instead.

   Click "Save Changes", then confirm with "Apply Changes". If other rate plans are derived from this one, ClearHost warns you about them instead and the confirm button reads Change Anyway.

#Good to know

Cancellation Policy and Tax Sets only appear when you are editing — the create drawer tells you to make the rate plan first and come back for the tax set. ClearHost warns on the confirmation that the change affects future bookings.
