Edit a room type

Where: Property → Rooms and Rates in ClearHost
You need: Channel Manager on the property's plan, and permission to edit rooms on this property.

   Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

   Open "Property → Rooms and Rates".

   Find the room type you want to change and open the three-dot menu at the right of its row.

   Choose "Edit Details" for the name and the occupancy counts, or "Edit Content" for the description, facilities and photos. Both open the same Edit Room Type drawer — they just land you on a different tab, and you can switch between the two tabs once it is open.

   Change what you need. Room Type Name and every occupancy counter can be edited, but the Inventory Type buttons stay locked once the room type exists.

   Click "Save Changes", then confirm with "Apply Changes". The button stays greyed out until you have actually changed something.

#Good to know

Inventory Type is fixed at creation — to move a room type between Private Room and Shared Dorm you have to create a new one. Adult Spaces is what decides how many guest rows a per-person rate plan shows, so changing it changes the pricing rows on this room type’s rate plans. One caveat on photos: adding and removing them is checked against your property permissions rather than your room permissions, and removing one needs delete rights on the property, which a manager does not hold by default. The rest of the change still saves, so if a photo you removed is back after a reload, that is why — ask an owner or admin to remove it.
