Move a property onto a bigger plan

In ClearHost: Property → Billing.

Where: Property → Billing in ClearHost
You need: permission to edit billing in the organisation.

#Steps

  1. 1

Select the property you want to work on in the top bar. Plans are bought per property, so this only ever moves the one property you have selected.

  2. 2

Open "Property Billing". You can also get there by clicking that property’s row under Property Plans on your billing screen, which switches the property for you.

  3. 3

Click "Change Plan" on the "Subscription Information" card. It stays inactive unless the subscription is running or in trial and your role may change billing.

  4. 4

The panel opens on the Plans tab, on your current room tier and on "Monthly" or "Yearly". Set the tier and the billing period first — the three plans re-price for whatever combination you choose. The plan you are already on is marked Current and cannot be picked.

  5. 5

A tier smaller than the rooms you have already set up is marked "Too many rooms" and is not selectable. If you genuinely want to come down, remove rooms from your room types first.

  6. 6

If none of the three suits you, switch to the "Build your own" tab beside Plans and assemble the bundle yourself. It is priced and bought exactly like a named plan — the same buttons finish it.

  7. 7

Choose the plan and click "Upgrade Now". ClearHost hands you to the payment provider to authorise a new mandate, and the plan switches once that comes back. If what you picked costs less, the button reads Downgrade from Next Cycle instead and the change waits for the period you have already paid for to finish.

  8. 8

Closing the payment window without finishing changes nothing at all — your current plan carries on and you can start again from this screen whenever you like.

#Good to know

An upgrade replaces your subscription at the payment provider rather than editing it, so a fresh authorisation is needed every time even though the card has not changed. Nothing moves in ClearHost until the provider confirms, which can take a few seconds to land on the page. A property with no subscription at all is not an upgrade case — that one has to be subscribed from the pricing screen first.
