Control who can work on this property
In ClearHost: Property → Members.
Where: Property → Members in ClearHost
You need: permission to edit members in the organisation.
#Steps
- 1
Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.
- 2
Open "Property → Members". This lists everyone who can work on this property. Owners and admins are always on it — they reach every property in the organisation and cannot be taken off one.
- 3
Only an owner or an admin can change anything here. A manager sees the list and may find the role dropdown clickable on a member below them, but the change is refused when it reaches the server.
- 4
Invite at the top right opens "Invite to Property" with two tabs. Add from Organization is the one to use for someone already in your team: tick them, then click Add to Property and confirm in the Confirm Property Access box. Owners and admins appear ticked and locked because their access is automatic.
- 5
Unticking someone in that same list removes their access, so the button reads "Review Changes" rather than "Add to Property" whenever your ticks would take access away as well as give it.
- 6
"Invite by Email" is for someone who is not in your organisation yet. It sends an invitation that adds them to the organisation and to this property in one go; they appear in a pending list under the table until they accept.
- 7
The role beside a name — "Property Manager" or "Property Staff" — is an organisation-wide role, not a per-property one. Changing it here changes what that person can do at every property they can reach.
- 8
For per-property control use "Permissions" in the three-dot menu at the end of the row. Property Permissions opens a grid of every module; Role Defaults, View Only and Full Access are shortcuts, and you can tick individual boxes. Save Permissions stores it for this property only. Remove from property in the same menu opens Remove from Property, and confirming with Remove takes their access to this property away while leaving them in the organisation.
#Good to know
You cannot act on yourself, on an owner, or on anyone at your own level — an admin cannot change another admin. Permissions saved for one member on one property override that person’s role defaults there and nowhere else. Removing someone from a property does not delete their account or their organisation membership; to remove them from the organisation entirely, use the members screen under your profile.
