Find your occupancy figure

In ClearHost: Analytics → Occupancy.

Where: Analytics → Occupancy in ClearHost
You need: Analytics on the property's plan, and permission to view reports on this property.

#Steps

  1. 1

Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

  2. 2

Open "Analytics → Occupancy". The page is headed Occupancy Analytics. Everything on it is read-only — there is nothing here you can save, so you cannot change a booking by looking.

  3. 3

"Occupancy %" is the first of the three cards in the top row, with "Rooms Sold" and "Available Rooms" next to it. That row always covers the same window — the last 30 days ending today — and this page has no control that widens or narrows it.

  4. 4

Read those three cards for what they actually count. Occupancy % is room nights sold divided by (rooms in the property × 30 days). Rooms Sold is room nights over the same 30 days, not a count of bookings. Available Rooms is the odd one out: the big number is a right-now snapshot of rooms free today, while the percentage beneath it compares the 30-day average with the previous 30 days — so the two halves of that one card describe different periods.

  5. 5

For the shape of the period rather than a single number, use the "Occupancy % over time" chart below the cards. Its own dropdown reads Last 30 days by default; changing it redraws the chart only, and the cards above do not move with it.

  6. 6

Further down, "Occupancy heatmap" lays the same 30 days out as a calendar so weak days stand out, "Occupancy by Room type" shows rooms in use today against each type’s capacity, and "Daily Occupancy" at the foot of the page is the day-by-day table you can page through and filter by source.

#Good to know

Occupancy appears in two other places and they do not mean the same thing. The Occupancy tile on Analytics → Overview and the Today’s Occupancy tile on the main dashboard are both a today-only snapshot — rooms occupied right now divided by total rooms. Only Occupancy % on this page is the 30-day figure. If two screens disagree, that is why. Staff-role members see the Analytics menu because the sidebar does not gate it, but this page needs report access, so a staff member opening it gets an error rather than data.
