Review your channel mix

In ClearHost: Analytics → Channels.

Where: Analytics → Channels in ClearHost
You need: Analytics on the property's plan, and permission to view reports on this property.

#Steps

  1. 1

Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

  2. 2

Open "Analytics → Channels". The page is headed Channels Analytics and is read-only — it reports on where your bookings came from, it does not connect or disconnect anything.

  3. 3

The controls at the top right set the period for the whole page. The dropdown opens reading Last 30 days and holds the other presets; the date field beside it takes your own start and end in a two-month calendar, after which the dropdown reads Quick range because no preset matches. Either way, every card below redraws.

  4. 4

Start with the three tiles under it — "Total Revenue", "Total Bookings" and "Avg Booking Value" — then the two highlight cards, "Top Performing" and "Highest Growth", which name your strongest channel and your fastest-growing one for that period.

  5. 5

"Performance breakdown" is the table that answers the mix question: one row per channel with revenue, bookings, average booking value, commission percentage, "Net Revenue" and "Cancelled", sorted with the biggest earner first. Net Revenue is what is left after commission, so read that column rather than revenue when you are comparing an OTA with direct business, and read Cancelled beside it — a channel that books well and cancels heavily is not the earner its revenue suggests.

  6. 6

Below it, "Revenue by Channel" and "Bookings by Channel" are the same split as bar rows, "Channel Distribution" is the donut version by share of revenue, and "Profitability" flags any channel keeping less than 80% of its revenue after commission.

  7. 7

The "Trends" chart in the middle of the page is the exception: it plots "Monthly revenue" by channel over the last 12 months and ignores the date range you picked at the top, so do not read it as covering the period the tiles do. It is the one card on the page showing a full year.

#Good to know

Channel share also appears on Analytics → Overview as a Channel Distribution donut, but that one has no date control at all — use this page when the period matters. Staff-role members can see the Channels item in the sidebar but cannot load its data, because it requires report access that the staff role does not include by default.
