Create a reservation
In ClearHost: PMS → Reservations.
Where: PMS → Reservations in ClearHost
You need: PMS on the property's plan, and permission to create bookings on this property.
#Steps
- 1
Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.
- 2
The quickest route is "PMS → Front Desk", where "New Reservation" opens a short two-part form rather than the full wizard. Guest & stay takes the Guest name, Phone, the dates and the Adults and Children; Room & payment takes the Room type, the Rate and how the money is handled. Open in ClearHost ↗
- 3
Under "How did they book?", say whether it was a "Walk-in", the Website or a phone call, so the booking is attributed correctly. Then choose Pay later to collect at check-in, or Take an advance to record money now.
- 4
Finish with the "Reserve" button, which names the room or the number of rooms it is about to hold. For a guest standing in front of you on their arrival day, Check in sits beside it and does both at once.
- 5
The longer route, which lets you pick an existing guest profile and record an advance through the full wizard, starts at "PMS → Reservations".
- 6
Click "New Reservation". ClearHost opens Guest Operations on the Check-in tab — that is where new bookings are created. Open in ClearHost ↗
- 7
Under "Guest Verification", type the name into "Search Guest Profile" and pick the guest. For someone who has never stayed before, use the walk-in option under the search box to create their profile on the spot.
- 8
If that guest already has bookings, ClearHost shows "Select reservation". Do not pick one of those — click Book a new stay for this guest below the list, otherwise you will check the guest into an existing booking instead of creating a new one.
- 9
Set the "Stay Dates" for the new booking, choose the room and the rate, then click "Continue to Payment".
- 10
Record any advance the guest is paying and finish with "Complete Check-in" to save the booking.
#Good to know
There is no separate booking form — ClearHost creates the booking through the check-in flow. Bookings that come from an OTA or your booking engine appear in Reservations on their own.
