Set or change the budget on a promotion

In ClearHost: Promote Property → Google Ads.

Where: Promote Property → Google Ads in ClearHost
You need: Booking Engine on the property's plan, and permission to edit property details on this property.

#Steps

  1. 1

Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

  2. 2

On a new campaign the money is asked for last, not first. Open Promote Property, click Create New Promotion and walk the wizard through to Launch — the budget sections live on that final step.

  3. 3

A promotion runs on one platform, so one budget section appears: "Google Ads budget" on a Google promotion, "Meta Ads budget" on a Meta one. Advertising on both means two promotions, funded separately, neither borrowing from the other.

  4. 4

In "Google Ads budget", "Total budget" is the whole pot Google may spend over the campaign. Under Max per day, by surface, set Google Search, plus Google Display and Google Video if you ticked those surfaces on the cards above.

  5. 5

"Google total" underneath adds those per-day figures together, and Runs turns your pot into a number of days and the date it ends on. Raising the daily figures shortens the campaign; raising the pot lengthens it.

  6. 6

"Meta Ads budget" is simpler: a "Total budget" and a single "Max per day" that Facebook and Instagram share between them.

  7. 7

Every per-day figure has to be at least ₹100, and the pot has to cover at least one full day of it. Until that holds, the launch button stays greyed out and Fix these to launch above it lists exactly what is short.

  8. 8

The grey box at the bottom is the summary — the pot, the "Total budget" and the "Campaign window" it buys.

  9. 9

To change the money on a promotion that already exists, go back to "Promote Property", find it under "Your Promotions" and click Edit. A scheduled or paused promotion has that button; an active one has to be Paused first.

  10. 10

"Edit Promotion" opens with that promotion’s own budget section, and only that one — a Google promotion shows no Meta figures and the other way round. Campaign Dates at the top shows the start date, which is fixed once the promotion has begun — change a budget or a daily limit to move when it ends instead.

  11. 11

Topping up the ad account is a separate thing from a campaign budget. At the bottom of Promote Property each platform’s account funds panel — headed Google Ads account funds or Meta Ads account funds — shows that account’s balance, and View Billing Details opens the transactions behind it. #Good to know

A campaign budget is a ceiling, not a commitment — the platforms spend up to it and stop, and an unspent pot is simply not charged. The end date is derived from the money rather than chosen: there is no field for it anywhere. An account with no funds will take a budget happily and then fail to deliver, so check Ad account funds if a campaign launches and nothing happens.
