Mark a room out of order

Where: PMS → Room Management in ClearHost
You need: PMS on the property's plan, and permission to edit rooms on this property.

#Steps

1. 1

   Select the property you want to work on in the top bar.

   Open "PMS → Room Management".

   Find the room and click "Log Maintenance Issue" on its row.

   In the "Maintenance Request" drawer, pick the "Issue Type" — for example plumbing or electric.

   Under "Change Room Status to", select "Out of Order". Pick Out of Service instead if the room is only unavailable for a short while.

   Set the "Out-of-service window" for the dates the room is blocked, write what is wrong in "Description", then click "Log Issue".

   When the repair is done, click "Clear Maintenance Status" on the same row to put the room back on sale.

#Good to know

Blocking a room stops it being sold for those dates and raises an urgent maintenance task for housekeeping.
